From first click to ownership

Bidding on Qurio requires identity verification and a saved card — both are one-time steps that protect every buyer on the platform.

Step 01

Create an account

Sign in with email or Google to get started. Your account is the foundation for your bidder profile, KYC status, and purchase history.

  • Use a valid email — all order and bid updates are sent there.
  • Google sign-in is the fastest path to a verified account.
  • You can save lots and explore the catalog before completing your profile.

Step 02

Verify your identity

KYC verification is required before you can place any bid. We use Didit, a YC-backed identity provider, to verify government-issued ID in minutes.

  • Have a government-issued photo ID ready (passport or national ID).
  • The selfie check works best in good, even lighting.
  • Verification is a one-time step — once approved, you never repeat it.

Step 03

Add your payment card

A saved card is required to bid. We use Stripe to securely store your card details — no card data ever touches our servers. You are only charged when you win.

  • Card setup takes under 60 seconds via the Stripe-hosted form.
  • You will not be charged until you win an auction and confirm payment.
  • You can update or replace your card at any time from your profile.

Step 04

Review the lot and bid

Each auction page carries provenance context, authentication notes, and a live bid trail. Read the full lot page before committing.

  • Read provenance and authentication summaries before bidding.
  • Check the current bid and reserve status — not all lots have visible reserves.
  • Bid only what you are prepared to pay — all bids are binding.

Step 05

Complete payment

If you win, you will receive an email with a payment link. Payment is due within the time shown on the lot. Your saved card makes checkout fast.

  • Watch for the "Auction Won" email — it contains your payment link.
  • Payment windows are strict — reach support early if you need an extension.
  • Your order confirmation email is your receipt.

Step 06

Receive your item

Once payment is confirmed, your item is dispatched with a tracked carrier. You will receive a shipping confirmation email with carrier and tracking details.

  • Tracking updates are sent to your registered email.
  • Retain the certificate of authenticity and order trail for future resale.
  • Report condition or authenticity concerns within 48 hours of delivery.
